COWES RUMVOLUTION

THE SPIRIT OF GRENADA CAME TO COWES WEEK 2019

COWES WEEK

The Rum Party Of Choice

The Westerhall Estate Rum Shack returned to the Isle of Wight again this year as official sponsors of the event for the third year in a row. With live entertainment and our carefully crafted mouthwatering cocktails on offer, the patrons of Cowes week flocked to Cowes Parade after a hard day's sailing to experience the real taste of Grenada. Despite the gale force winds and rain, there was rum and fun all round.

Saturday night saw the Westerhall opening party with music from local legend Derek Sandy and The Reggae Source. The Shack was packed with nearly 1000 people in attendance, and once again the crowd was awash with our signature pink hats. The music and partying went late into the night so we think there must have been a few wobbly sea legs the next morning…We are sure they’d agree it was a night worth living!

As the competitive sailing got underway Westerhall were on the water with them, crashing through the waves in a rib our brave team were there to dish out the Rum at the finishing line to those lucky crews that took part in our ‘Boat Drop Delivery’ service.

With plenty of dramatic events in the water the Rum Shack did its job to keep everyone on dry land entertained. Thanks to Cowes Week and everyone who came, we look forward to 2020 and bringing the Grenadian party back to the Isle.
